Have a case 90xt.. 2000 or 2001 model. It has high flow. The other day I started it and it was idling rough and died... had to give it a little more throttle to start and idle. Wont rev.. although sometimes it will smooth out and rev some. Checked the lift pump seems to be working and cracked the injectors to make sure no air was in system.. although not sure it was dripping as much fuel as it normally would. After running a little while the hydraulic oil temperature light comes on (at least I think that's what it is, its top right light with a gear and oil drop in middle with thermometer off to side) and a alarm sounds. Also bucket will drop slow or not at all unless I combine tilting the bucket up or down.. then it moves down at normal rate. Machine gets hot... in drive seems to start bogging down and have to stop to keep it from dying. Thought maybe it wasn't getting enough fuel and was running lean causing it to heat up.. but sorta blows black smoke like it is getting to much fuel at times.. any help much appreciated.. thanks in advance.

I moved this over to the Case forum where hopefully it will get seen by someone familiar with them.
The rough running and overheating hydraulics seem unrelated, but without knowing the architecture I can't venture a guess.

I'd start with the engine, get it running right. Have you changed filters?
I'd change the air and fuel ones first. If you install a hand primer in the fuel line, it may help as well. Start it, and see if squeezing the hand primer makes the engine speed or clear up. Fuel starvation can cause the hard starting and rough running.
After the engine is going well, look at the hydraulics, it could be just a bad sender.
