I am interested in installing an after market cab heater in my Case 1840 diesel skid steer "uni-loader". I have the service manual but it does not give any info on the correct connection to the cooling system. The upper hose appears to be the radiator return line. There appears to be 2 threaded ports in the block adjacent to the thermostat housing. I believe that is the location to tap into the cooling system for the hot side of the engine coolant. 1 of the threaded ports could be used to connect a heater hose to supply a cab heater radiator. The lower hose on the engine appears to be the feed side of the engine cooling system. There also appears to be 2 threaded taps in the housing. 1 of these ports could be used to return coolant from a cab heater radiator to the engine. Can anyone give me SPECIFIC advice on such an install concerning a CASE 1840 diesel skidder?
