24 Oct., 2018 Hello All, My Case 1838 is Driving Forward or Rearward when I'm trying to Start It. The Safety Bar is Down and the Machine Should be in the Lock Out Position... and No Movement at All. If I apply slight pressure on the control levers (fore or aft) then, the lurching movement is reduced (somewhat). I'm a Diesel Mechanic and if it was a engine problem, then, No Problem. Please, Can Anyone Point me in the Right Direction to (lurching during start) Troubleshoot this Problem. Avery (HighFly27)

Sounds like your neutral adjustment is out, normal for a used machine.
I don't know how it's adjusted on your model, but there will be somehting, generally at the pump to set this.
