I have been doing some work to the parking brakes on my 1994 CASE 1838. My left side pin was not engaging, so I took it apart and found that the spring was worn and broken. I ordered a new spring and it appears thicker and has more coils. The old spring had a sleeve that fit inside it, but this new spring ( being thicker ) will not allow the original sleeve to fit inside it. Has anyone ever run into this? I'm thinking the the new ( thicker spring ) does not need the internal sleeve to help keep it's shape ?????????? Any info. would be greatly appreciated. Matt
