I just bought a 1835c , after bring it home i cant seem to get it turn over. have checked the battery and it has 100% charge. It didnt come with an operators manual and am not sure if I am even going through the starting procedure right. I flip both handles on each side down then start it with the key. Am I missing a step? If not any ideas as to why it will not start?

To confirm the battery is not bad, try jumping the starter. There will be a small connector with a wire, jump this to the +ve connector just near it, see if it cranks. If it does, your battery is good, if not it is bad.
Start with the simple things first, batteries may look and test good without a load, but when under any load they drop to 0v
I can't see there being any weird starting procedure, the safety devices are to prevent being crushed, not starting as far as i was aware.

Thanks for the help. After checking everything we determined that the key switch was bad, replaced it and now we are up and running
