Ok I have a case 1835c with the 3 cylinder tmd 20 diesel motor. It recently developed a misfire and leak that I've pinpointed to the 'leak off hoses" on the injectors. From the top of the injector pump a small 'return' line goes to the first injector and then cylinders 1-2 are jumped together and cylinders 2-3 are jumped together. With the motor running or not that fitting on the top of the injector pump is pouring out fluid and I can't figure out why ?? My understanding was that the leak off lines were for unused fuel to return to the injector pump but the opposite is happening on mine. Any help is appreciated !

As there is a mi-fire, i'd suspect a bad injector. My understanding of the leak off or tap off lines is they are for internal leakage of the injector. If it's stuck open, or stuck closed it may be dirverting the fuel back to the tank.
It's best to get a professional to work on injectors, but some times pulling them apart and putting back to gether can free them up, this is your call if you are up for that job though.
