I'm sure OM will pipe up on this one, but if you pull it down and take a note of how many turns screws are in, re-assenble as you took it apart. Using a white sheet to lay the parts in order is very helpful.
Use compressed air and carby cleaner to get all the gunk out of it just before you re-assemble it.
