Hello, I just bought an old M610 with bad tires. They are so old and weather checked that I cannot read the the tire size on them. I am amazed that they are not flat. How do I determine if they are 15 or 16.5? The outside diameter of the rim is 15 1/4", so I think they are 15. Can anyone verify that for me before I order some new tires online? Thank you!

Thank you, I did find the original equipment specs. I just want to verify that I have the original rims on the machine, as I have read that the larger 16.5" will fit. Being an older machine it would not surprise me if the previous owner swapped them out.

sometimes the size of the rim is stamped on it ,I think mostly on the backside in the off set. maybe you will get lucky.

you can always pull one off and take to a tire shop if you want someone to look at things with more knowledge of things
as without anyone here seeing things in person, its kind of hard to say if you have Oem set up still or not
I am also guessing that you are installing the tires yourself, or will you be having a shop install them?
as if the latter, again, just taking one to a shop, might also net you a good price on tires and install too!
from my experience, buying tires online, and then having to pay for install, one really doesn't save much $$$, to be honest, I have found a good tire shop that tends to beat my best prices I find online and get installed in the deal?

. This is a picture from my current 610. The standard size was 7x15. I just measured the rim, and it was 16 and 3/8 in outside diameter they have a chevron pattern to them. I restored another m610 and sold that a year ago, that one had 10x16.5 tires on it, Those ones had your standard skid steer tire on them. I just measured my bobcat 763 rims and those are about 17 in across, they have 10x16.5 tires. They do make a 27x8.5-15 skid steer type tire for that 15" rim. Walmart plus and Amazon prime have really good deals on those.

Awesome, thank you lmcl123! I screwed up, my 15 1/4" measurement was approximate at the root of the OD. I also have about 16 3/8" for the true rim OD. So the ID of the tire must be what determines the size. Mine are 8" wide at the tread, but barely clear the lift arms on the front, so I can't go any bigger. The ones I was looking at were in an online auction, but are 15x10, so they won't work.

How to solve the lift arm problem. I had the same problem on the one I restored (and sold), and I also have it on the current one in my lot. The restored one had the 10 x 16.5 tires on them. I welded a piece of 1/2" thick 4"x 4" (or so) piece of steel to the front of the frame where the lift arm touches. this solved the tire clearance problem. You can also buy wheel spacers on amazon. ( https://www.amazon.com/dp/B07GXK87H9?ref=ppx_yo2ov_dt_b_fed_asin_title&th=1)They would allow you to use chains on the front. I had a set for the M610 and they had clearance for the front chains (they also provide clearance for tracks). When I restore the next one, I'm going to have my buddy CNC me 1/2" thick spacers for the wheels. This should also provide the clearance for the lift arms.
