Hi Im new to this site and love the information that is here! I have a question that some of you might be able to answer. Im curious to know if the cabs on the 742Bs are the same as the Later models such as the 763. The reason that I ask, is for quite some time ive been looking for a cab enclosure for mine (not one of the vinyl ones) One with glass windows and a glass door with a windshield wiper. I found one that is in pieces going up for auction later this month, the only problem is that there not sure what it came off of. The door I know will work as that came off a 743, however the glass and gaskets they don't know about. Im curious to know if anyone else has encountered this problem and what anyone might know about it. Thanks in advance for any info.

I believe it will fit as long as it is not a G series machine. The older 753/763s used the square shaped cabs, the newer ones use the more rounded ones (triangular head lights). They are very different with doors and glass.

There is a guy on craigs list in Minneapolis selling G series update for the old cab. The idea must be to fit a G door to the old cab or why bother IMO.
It is a metal weldment for the front that houses the new style lights and slopes the cab top forward at the front. Maybe he would knowabout the side windows.
