Cab heater for 863 with Deutz oil-cooled engine

Anyone figured out how to do this? The oil lines (rubber) are very accessible to the rear of the machine (between the door and the engine). Looks like inserting a pair of tees there would provide flow to a heater core. Will that work with oil? Do I need some sort of restricter in the line to force oil through a heater core? I figured I would locate the core between my feet, maybe anchor it down to the chain case. ---RC

I see no reason why it wouldn't work. If you adjust the heat by only adjusting the fan speed, why not just put in elbows? then you get the full flow of oil through the core. The only concern i would have is that the heater core would need to be rated for the flow from the engine to the oil cooler.

Can you check it out in a manual to see if all the oil goes through the heater? That would be the best way to plumb it . Unless you want a bypass loop so you can turn it off for summer.
I check how the factory does it and go from there.
be sure to get a heater with enough flow and that can withstand the pressure of the circuit.

you put the heater line just above startwer motor there are some plugs jou fit 90 elbow fittings and rout to your heater blok

I would also consider a valve that you can restrict flow with. My T200 has HVAC and it has a valve inline that is controlled by the temperature knob in the cab(its an electric valve).
