Hey guys
I got a new one for ya.......When dumping when I reach full travel the bucket goes past it's stop and then it's stuck down and I can't get the pedal to bring it back up unless it's pushed down onto the ground and drag the machine backwards to get it back.....What needs to be adjusted or fixed?

Is it the original tilt cyl or has it been replaced? I think the original one you could run out full travel and it would still retract. you may have to take the shaft out , take the piston off and put a spacer ring on the shaft to maintain a space in there for oil to go when retracting.

If it is just going over center a spacer would correct that also.

What model machine do you have?
There should be stoppers to prevent this. Over time, they wear and the bobtach is aallowed to extend too far. It's a bad thing as if you use it this way when it's gone too far, it can actually bend the ram rod.

543, tilt cylynder is original, but I took a pic of the side of the inside of the arm and there is what looks like a stop to me??? Is this what I need to maybe firm up so it doesn't go to far? Check out the pic and let me know otherwise I'm not sure what to shim out?

Yes, that's one of the stops. Likely are worn and allowing too much travel. Weld and regrind to shape or weld on new ones.

Thanks guys, Well I really hope that the arms are not bent..... I'm gonna try welding/grinding the old stops and see if I can add more meat to it....Thx again for the help
Keep in mind that the stops will wear, but the spot it touches on the bobtach will wear too. Also, if your lower pivot pins/bushings are worn, it will over extend as there is more play.
