Right rear axel broke on 185c, anyone out there have a spare used axel for sale. Also, any hints or tricks on removing the broken one and replacing it. Could I have the old axel welded back together? Any ideas?
Did it actually snap off or did the weld let go?
Its possible you could get it welded up, but the person doing it has to be good. There is a lot of load at this point.
Not sure how to pull the axle, but i assume its like most other machines. Remove a bolt inside the chain case and it will need to be drawn out the end of the axle, with the hub being broken, it may be difficult.... Nothing to hold on to and pull it out with.
