The 10 amp BOSS fuse instantly blows when I turn on the ignition. I have a service manual but the schematic page is so small it is almost impossible to read. The engine cranks and the battery is good. Any ideals?

That sounds like a direct short somewhere; I would test with a DMM from the fuse side to ground, then disconnect the connector from the BOSS. If the continuity continues, the fault is in the wiring to the box, if not it's somewhere in the box or something coming into it.
As for the schematic being small, scan it (or get a digital copy) so it can be enlarged. Or get some of those Harbor Freight magnifying visors, they're handy for lots of things.

Thank you for the advice. I will give it a go this weekend.
