A220 with bad left wheel speed sensor. Dealer gave me bulletin 419 that apples to A300 A770 but does not mention A220. Mine has selectable joystick control update done previously. I believe my software version is in the 80’s. Bulletin says service analyzer version 79.8 or higher that includes version 10.1 loader drive controller software. There is a note in bulletin to chose update all controllers so the drive controller gets updated. I’m thinking my drive controller didn’t get updated with rest of software. Has anyone had experience with this? Should I be able to take to dealer and have update done even tho my machine is not listed in bulletin. Also says to perform drive calibration. How do you do this? Thanks for any info

I'd think the dealer could upgrade the software on any machine, the thing is, it may not help you at all, so there may be no real point in doing so.
I didn't think you could delete a wheel sensor, being an all wheel steer machine, it needs the sensors to know what they are all doing.

Did you ever fix the issue I have code 38-16 Unresponsive Left speed sensor warning on my bobcat a300 2004

I'm having same issue. Bobcat said I needed a new controller, 6683608. No longer available. I found a used one and no change. Throws code 38-16 when I turn ignition on. Derates to slowest speed. Sometimes it will go into second for about a minute before it throws the code.

Another guy on Heavyequipmentforums.com has same issue but posted over a year ago.

I fixed my issue, I bought a wheel speed sensor from tractorpartsasap.com for $40. When I installed it, it didn’t work so I swapped the left and right speed sensor and found out the new sensor I ordered did not work. I ended up buying a replacement from bobcat for $300, I installed it and it worked no more codes. Part number was 6677181

Bobcat replaced the left side. I thought they swapped them to check. I'll try that. Seems they said they purchased it off Ebay. Maybe its a bad one.

Thanks
