My dad purchased a Bobcat T 650 A3P016655 Compact Skid Steer. He did not have it long until the hydraulics stopped working. The engine runs but the magnetic solenoid will no release to allow the hydraulics to function. I suspect this a sensor issue as there are times when you start the machine and the hydraulics will work. When checking the power to the magnetic solenoid there is not 12 volts (maybe 3-4 volts).

Maybe there is an issue with the door switch, or seat bar? I do not see a seatbelt switch. If so can anyone give some guidance here?

The hydraulic fluid is good and I have removed connectors and sprayed them with cleaners.

Thanks

Look to see if there are any codes.
Press and hold the “Lights” button for about 5 seconds and if there are no codes, then where the hours normally are, it will say “NONE”. If there are codes they will start to show up one after another if there are more than one code so be ready to write them down.

M1707. The unit is currently working but the code and the hydraulic cone and go.

You can remove the solenoid and check it. There are several videos online of how to do this.

The solenoid works with two different voltages. It uses a higher voltage like 8-12 volts to open the solenoid and then the voltage lowers to 3-4 volts to hold it open.

If the solenoid is good. Then check to make sure that all of the wiring is in good shape and the connections are clean and tight. A small short can mess with the above stated voltages causing the problem.

The next step would be to check the hydraulic pressure sensor. Check for loose or corroded wires or damaged sensor.

Here is a link to the parts catalog. I find that the schematics help to find things:

The solenoid was good (resistance was good) I forgot to add that.

I will look a the hydraulic pressure sensor.

When I removed the harness to check the connect to computer boxes the clip broke. Would it be okay to just use a zip tie to keep this connector together?
