Hi guys I’m new to the forum and am looking for some insight for my T320. I have changed my tilt actuator once a couple years ago. And it seems like I’m back to square one where the tilt is slow and not much power to lift (same thing happened when I changed the first one). Over the course of a couple years it’s gradually gotten slower so I’m guessing the electric motor has wore itself out again. I pulled the actuator out this time and tried moving the spool valve in and out. Also no oil in actuator. It moves out but for some reason I can’t move it inward. I’m not sure if I’m missing something? This time I found a replacement motor and have changed out the little dc electric motor. I’m getting a code and it says I need to get the new actuator to the neutral position. So I think I have to move the top gear to read 1.72 volts. Does anyone have any experience with trying to change the motor and an easy way to get the actuator to read neutral?

There is an in depth video on youtube about actuators and how to calibrate. The neutral position is actually set at 2Vdc.

Thanks for the reply! We got the actuator calibrated. For some reason the spool would not go inward but move freely outward (toward front of machine). We then took off the bonnet at the back for tilt and the spool freely moved in either direction. We inspected spool, spring and bonnet with no scratches, scuffs or cracks so we reassembled. Took it out and it worked flawlessly for 15 minutes and then the spool got stuck again. Brought it back to the shop pulled it all apart again everything looked the same. Reassembled for round 2, worked it for 15 minutes and spool is stuck again. Anyone have any insight or know what’s happening?
