Have a 2007 bobcat t300 with the selectable joystick controls, it's thrown two codes, one about the y axis in the left joystick (didn't get that code wrote down) and another code 39-28, that code only comes up when I'm messing with the joystick trying to get the machine to move. It started as an intermittent problem, code would come up and stop the machine, cycle power and good to go, then the other day it started acting up and was able to limp it in the shop. Now when I turn the key in the on position the reverse alarm starts going off while the joystick is untouched supposed to be in the neutral position, if you push it forward just the slightest bit the beeping quits. I've took the joystick all apart and checked all the connections and the circuit boards all appear to be in good condition, there's very little slop in the joystick as well, machine has 1100hrs. Called one of the local dealers and there only solution was a new joystick base, which is $650 bucks or so. I was reading through the service manual and it looks like there is a calibration procedure for the joystick, which I haven't tried yet. Just curious if anyone has any other ideas or thoughts? Any cheaper fix to these, such as just replacing one of the parts internally instead of the whole thing? TIA
