Bobcat T250 runs but, does not move forward or backward

I have a 2005 T250 Bobcat with Kubota 81hp engine (2300plus hours). The battery light (red on the right side) is on. The panel on the left hand side (the yellow lights) stays on for a few seconds then, blink three times. I had the battery checked by advance auto and was good. The battery was recharged successfully. I replaced the alternator with a new one. I have not checked the voltage it is pushing. The bobcat will start with jumper cables, motor runs, and the bucket goes up and down, but will not move forward. When attempting to move forward will die and the yellow lights blink several times. Please give me some good advice.
 
if you t250 has the deluxe instrument panel you can check the alternator thru the screen under vitals , there is a fuse for the alternator , could be a voltage problem if you have to use jumper cables to start it ----------------------sounds like the brake is not releasing , maybe the seat bar or a bad stem coil on the brake valve or a voltage problem , did you try and make it go with the cables still hooked up

I put a charge on the battery. It cranked up ran forward, backward without incident. But, I dont think it is charging the battery. Can you tell me where to find the fuse on the bobcat that controls the alternator?

.................there is a cover on the steering cowl that is between your legs while sitting in the seat , there are two bolts holding this cover in , some are 10 mm headed bolts , some are 1/2 inch , the cover will fit both ways , but only one way is right , so take care to get it right for it will let water get into the fuse box if you put it back upside down , the fuse is marked alt/kits ---if the fuse is good then you want to check for voltage at the alt , they had some problems with the wiring getting damaged by the heat from the exhaust on some serial numbered machines , and came out with a clamp that is supoose to prevent it from happening ---if you don't have the deluxe instrument panel to check the alternator output then use a volt meter and attach it to either the battery terminals of the positive lug on the starter and the ground bolt on the bell housing and crank the engine , you should see 13 min and 14.5 volts max when the engine is running ...................

If that fuse is blown and you have back up alarms they are on the same circuit. ck the back up alarm switches.

I found the fuse box as you instructed. Yeah the fuse was blown. I have bought a new fuse but, have not tested it to see if there is any further issues. Thanks; I will test and inform you of the results.

I was blowing a "kits" fuse often on my T180. A sharp Bobcat tech told me the backup alarm sounder was a prime suspect. You could just unplug the entire rear door wiring harness (b/u alarm plus lights) and see if that solved your problem. Mine turned out to be a poorly-done replacement connector for the aux electronics on the forward end of the lift arms. One of the exposed terminals was +12V which would occasionally touch the frame. Duhhhhhhh..... :-) ---RC
