Bobcat S750 runs cold

I have a Bobcat S750, under 900hrs, that will not go over 175F under load. I changed the thermostat, but this did not help. I covered the rad with cardboard, and even at -5C clearing snow it won’t heat up. Upon startup the fan runs slow, increases speed at 120F, then goes faster closer to operating temperature. Are there any known issues with the engine temperature sensor reading incorrectly? Could the hydraulic fan proportioning valve/solenoid get stuck and cause the fan speed to operate too high causing too much cooling? Any help would be appreciated!

my first question is, did this just start happening or???
and if it did just start what was the normal temp before ?

I would think unless you have verified the temp. with a hand held digital thermo . at the base of the thermostat at running temp. and found it cool matching the read out, that you have a bad coolant temp. sending unit.

Normal temp is 180F or slightly above. Just noticed this clearing snow in December…..it doesn’t get a lot of use. I will be firing it up in a day or two….its -25C here right now so weather is not helping my situation any! Thanks for the idea to read the temperature with a digital thermometer, I will definitely check that out.
