Looking to trade in my New Holland LS185.b for a new Bobcat S740. My original New Holland dealer went out of business and my nearest NH dealer is almost 1-1/2 hrs away. This Bobcat S740 specs out very similar to the 185.b. Just curious if anyone has purchased a Bobcat S740 and any feedback on the machine. I will be testing out the machine this week.
 
From what I have heard, a 740 is basically the same as a 750, but with just under 75 hp to get past emission rules. Big thing is a 740 will not need DEF compared to the new engined 750 and larger that will use DEF. Since it is otherwise the same as a 750, a 740 will be much bigger then a S185 in physical size and lift capacity which I think is still over 3000 lbs. I think it is slightly derated from a 750 for lift.
