bobcat s220 auxiliary hydralics

I have a 2005 bobcat S220 skid steer that i purchased a month ago. i just purchased a grapple rake attachment. i have never hooked any hydralic lines to machine since purchase. i have attachment hooked to skid steer and have the bottom hose attached but can't connect the top flat face coupler and i tried connecting both hosed from attachment to each flat face coupler on skid steer and only bottom coupler connects . any suggestions would be greatly appreciated thanks

Does it try and engage at all? Some fittings try and hook up but are tight as and refuse to get all the way in. If they are different brands, especially the chinese knock offs some times refuse to go together without using a hammer to get it to seat. I have an attachment i made and it has crappy chinese fittings at it gets used maybe once a year, i use a hammer to get one on, and it proceeds to drip
