Last time I used my bobcat it would only crank 1-2 seconds then would stop cranking, after repeatedly pushing the start button it finally started, smoked quite a bit but then it ran fine until I parked it. It is an electric start no key. Now it is doing the same thing, but won't start at all, I push the start button, it cranks 1 or 2 cycles then quits. Tonight, when trying to start it I manually held the injector valve open and jumped the solenoid and then it did crank, and smoked a lot but I wouldn't start. I didn't want to drain the battery and had not cycled the glow plugs. But it did fire. But what is stopping it from cranking in order to start? It has a new battery, new starter and I switched the starter relay with the glow plug relay and it didn't make a difference.
