I am completely restoring a 90 642B and am wondering how the bobcat paint holds up over time. I am didassembling the machine and having all parts sand blasted then I plan to spray with a good self etching primer and then paint. I like the premixed idea from bobcat but looking for advice.

I don't know how todays Bobcat dealership paint holds up but am doing a similar project. I just did the bucket of my little Bob with Tractor Supply Co satin black. (quite inexpensive) Let it dry a month before using & its Very impressively durable, even moreso considering the price. We did our Steiger years ago single stage with max hardener. Worked very well. Cost enough, it should. Did allot of surface prep so went with a nice paint. I would think if the machine lives outdoors: Paint with hardener, Shedded: Single stage.
