Hello all, new to the forum. I recently acquired a bobcat M371. After installing new engine and firing up the machine. I tested the hydraulics and drive system separate, starting with the hydraulic pump first, but while is engine running and hydraulic pump spinning, via the v-belt pulley, it has no pressure ! Nor will bucket or arms budge. When I acquired machine , it had 1090 original hours. The second owner bought for project with a bad engine , but never fixed. After picking up the bobcat and starting the restoration process ,I noticed hydraulic filter was missing, it's sense been replaced , along with a new pressure gauge. Could the hydraulic filter being off for a period of time messed something up ? Or does pump need to be replaced or primed ?? Feel free to even txt me with help. Thanks 803-372-2240

Hi and welcome to the forum!! I am wondering if the control has been bypassed when the new filter was installed. the filter should be in the return line from the loader control valve, not in parallel to it. Also could you verify that the relief valve in the loader control block is not stuck open. With the engine running, try cracking the delivery hose from the pump and determine that fluid is being delivered. Hope this helps - SR
