I need the procedure to remove the sheave from a wisconsin 4 cylinder air cooled motor crankshaft. I know enough to not pry... but how do you do it? Pictures, directions, service manual info...anything is going to be better than what I know know. Thanks

Read this thread and see if it's what you need.

Denny.......OldMachinist has put you on the thread that will get you through it. I'll add a couple of things that I didn't say well in that thread. First..... use a bar puller (works best) with a bearing splitter OR if it has jaws that will reach the two bolts you place in the splined shaft. Be sure you shoulder up the bolts so you don't break them and be sure they are short enough that they don't hit the crank shaft. Secondly.......when removing the 'roto-swivel' assembly (fig. 3-74) you can do it exactly as diagramed which is not all that easy (don't forget they didn't picture a tire in that diagram). I much prefer a slide hammer....... set it up as diagramed and use a three jaw puller attachment or (when I'm really lazy) I'll sometimes use a simple hook attachment. Remember, it shouldn't take much....pay attention to the problems Hevyduty had.
