Hi i am new to this forum so hope this is in the right place, sorry if its not, I am having a problem with a bobcat i am helping someone do so work on, as far as i no its a 743. when you first get in the machine everything works fine, all hydraulics and traction. after you do a little work with it and turn it off and on again the hydraulics seem to become locked so that you cannot move the bucket up or down or crowed it. i can still drive it about so this side of things is not affected. the machine needs to be left for a while then when you come to start it again everything seems to be working fine, any ideas what it would be? Many thanks

what are the bics lights beside the seat doing when this happens?
I don't think any of the 743's have a BICS box.
Is it possible that when you shut it off and get out you're pushing the right side steering lever into the aux. hydraulics detent position?

With the cab up, is there a square block on the hydraulic pump at all?
OM makes a good point with the right hand lever, its verry common for it to be bumped. Pull it all the way to the left and let it spring back.
