Bobcat Hydraulic fluid?

S/N 501961479 I had a bad Hydraulic tank cap. I have Since replaced it and flushed the system with a low weight hydraulic fluid. I now need to choose the correct fluid to put back in it. I believe my machine is 1975 I was running the bobcat hydraulic fluid in it but i have read in a few posts of people running 10-30 motor oil? What is the option here? thank you for your help!

I live in Arizona about a mile up average temps in my area are 80's when i run the machine normally

Then go with what is the best buy I get good deals on 15-40 so one oil for engine hydro and chaincase buy it in five gallon pails but 10-30 and 10-40 are used by most that I know of except Tazza goes thicker but he is down under AU

I use hydraulic oil from NAPA auto parts, $45 for a 5 gal. pail. I use 46 viscosity, but they also have 32 and 68 available.

So i assume i need to drain all the hydro fluid out of the machine and add the new oil. should i be concerned about draining every line before i add the Oil as i have hydraulic fluid in the machine right now? or can they mix?

You will never get it all out

You will never get it all out

The oils will mix together, as long as the oil in there now is not contaminated, it won't matter.
I personally use 20W50 or 15W40 engine oil, it never gets below freezing here, so being heavy isn't an issue and it's cheap.
