Fortunately it was still on warranty at the time and I have had no such problems since.  (though I'm very carefule about putting the 18" bit with a 3ft extension out in from of the loader and lowering the arms.) There are signs of oil weeping round the shaft now , but its 7 year old, its collecting dirt, not washing it away.I too would hook it to a loader and drill a hole or two at low rpm to make sure the motor is sound, nothing is bent and leaking.Ken</blockquote>
