So this guy has a bob cat and i asked him if he wanted to sell it. He said he would but its missing all serial numbers and the computer. Said it was stolen and recovered. Said he has the bill of sales for it showing ownership. Is it possible to put another computer in it with out serial numbers?

what model is it? year?
No reason why you can't put another computer in it, the issue will be working out just what model it is so you can get a suitable computer.
Bobcat could identify it i rekon, then they can program it to suit the options you have installed, but a new one and programming from the dealer won't be cheap at all.

Bobcat stamps the serial number on the chain case in one of two places. First it could be in the front of the machine below the white part of the frame next to the pedal clean out holes. Second round by the drive motor covers either on the left or right side. Most thieves do not know about that Bobcat does this. Also you can call the dealer with the engine serial number, its stamped in on the block by the injection pump if it is a Kubota engine or on the valve cover if it's a Duetz and they can call the factory to get you all the machine info you need.
