Using skid steer yesterday and in high speed (rabbit) it all of a sudden jumped into the snail mode. The screen showed the snail mode activated with an exclamation mark above it. I stopped and shut down and restarted and everything was fine but 50ft later it jumped back into snail mode.

What would have caused this and where to I begin to look?

Thanks in advance for your assistance.

First, check to see if there are any codes.
Do this by pressing and holding the lights button until they appear. If there aren’t any, it will say “NONE”.

Be prepared there may be more than one code and it will scroll through them.

I suggest taking a real close look at the wiring that goes to it. Follow the wire back from the sensor and check for any spots where it might be rubbing on the machine's frame. A lot of times, the wire gets worn through and shorts out.
Also, unplug the sensor and look inside the plug. Sometimes just a little bit of dirt or green corrosion in there is enough to cause the problem. A bad wire will give you the same error as a bad sensor.
