I have an 873 the machine functions normaly untill i try to lower the bucket, lifts fine tilts fine only then i lower the bucket. I switched the actuators same problem, switched the actuator wires and now it will lift and lower but will not tilt. It seems like whatever function is controlled by the right and joystick works fine but if it is hooked to the left hand joystick it does not work in one direction. I moved the guts from one hand controller to the other, same problem. Tested continuity from the controller to the wiring harness, seem to be ok. Any ideas? At a loss... Mikel

If you have a hose and pair of couplers put a loop connecting hose from one aux coupler to the other and see if that helps. It will at least confirm whether or not the auxilary circuit is involved in the problem. Auxilary is spelled wrong and right now I have no idea of the right spelling.

I will give that a try, Thought that I might also mention that I keep getting ACS codes then the lift/tilt light goes off. If I restart the machine then the error clears.

Sounds like you need a new actuator
Sorry It took me so long to get back, it was the Controll Module. Took it to the dealer and when i got it back unloaded it off the trailer and then the actuator went out... what a day. But all is well now. With one new actuator I notice a lag in the other most likely need to replace it soon.

Did actuator drag before repairs were made? If the shop had other actuator out in order to get access to the one replaced. Sometimes when they are put back in, they may not of tightened the actuator bolts in a little at a time by alternating between bolts until tight. This will couse the actuator to drag and sometimes throw a code. Wes

I know this is a super old thread, but my 873 is doing the exact same thing. It's had both actuators replaced at bobcat, the aux hydraulics work (they bog machine down in both directions) I'm thinking it's the float control module. 2700.oo unfortunately they don't make them anymore and nobody has one. I'm stuck and don't know what to do next.
