Bobcat 873 Steering

I have a Bobcat 873 that jerks, and wants to move at idle. I took it to a dealer and they replaced the pintle levers and bushings which fixed it for a short period of time but told me that the pintle shafts were worn and eventually I would be back it wanting to jerk and move at startup. It ran fine for around 6 months but is back to wanting to jerk and move at startup. I was just wondering how big of an undertaking it would be to replace these shafts and can it be done with the pump still in the machine? I do have a mechanical background and I’m up for a bit of a challenge.
