Hi everyone, first time postion, first time needing help. I'm fairly new in the Skidsteer word and recently purchased a Bobcat 873. It has been working great for 4 months and yesterday I started putting it to the test. Well on thing led to another a I got stuck.. and I mean really stuck. After 2 hours of trying to dig myself out of there, I ran out of fuel. I was now facing the problem of bleeding the fuel lines. Finally got it going today. Was very happy at that and kept going at it to try to get myself out of that mess. After about 2 minutes, everything locked up. Can move forward or backword (Well maybe 2 to 4 inches forward and back, and it almost sounds like it metal on metal hiting. Also when it locks up, I can feel it in the left pedal as it hits me under my foot. I cannot move the bucket either, up or down or tilt. One time I stopped it and started it again, and hit the Traction overide button and I was able to work the bucket, but as soon as I tried moving forward, everything locked up again. I bought this used and there are a few overides on this. The seat switch has been removed, basically the only thing that stops it is the tilt bar. I played with the parking brake, Removed the selenoid under the seat but the big pin stayed in it, I was not able to remove it. Any clue of what would cause this? Any help would be appreciated.

Sounds like your safety system is locking you out.
Do you have gray triangular panels on the dash? or do you have a box near the seat with lights?
You need to ensure that they all come on to unlock the hydraulics and brake. The grinding is the brake not letting you move.

You have an F series, look at the box behind your right arm. All four need to be for it move. If there is a problem, the led for the for the part of the system sould be blinking a code. You should have push to operate kit in the machine if the seat swith is disconnect. You have to push a green button to move it right? If it is still yellow, something is riggid and most likly the problem.
