I've owned my skid for about 3 months. About a month ago I found out I had a fuel leak that was leaking fuel into the engine and mixing with the oil. What tipped me off to the problem was a low oil pressure light coming on. I had to finish what I was doing that day and it still seemed to be running fine with no oil light if I kept it at 80% throttle. By the end of the day I noticed a light tapping sound in the engine and it seemed there was a little more exhaust smoke than normal. It didn't take long for that little tapping noise to turn into more of a knock at higher RPM's and started smoking a ton - quite a bit on start-up, and tons at higher RPM's - burning nearly a gallon per hour of oil. I know I should have done the repairs before it got this bad, but I had to finish the project I was on so thats where I am now. I know without looking at it its impossible to say for sure, but what are the possible diagnosis? Head gasket? how long should a head gasket job take? Is it worth doing the timing belt while im in there doing repairs? How long should t-belt replacement take? Thanks so much for any and all help!!</p></blockquote><p></p>
