Bobcat 853 Main Frame

Hello - I have a question regarding the Main Frame on a Bobcat 853. On the lower half of the main frame (with the axle housings) there look's to be some sort of baffel (on the exploded view) directly behind the rear axle. From the baffel to the rear of the frame, is this open space? or is there some kind of counter weight in the space? Any information would be appreciated. Thank you

I believe its open. When they put weights on the machines, they attach them to the axle tubes.
