I really don't see any other way to do it. I think it's made of ABS plastic, it's hard and has what appears to be fibres in it to hold it together, naturally it's a little brittle too. I didn't think the blower fan was that spendy from the dealer either, but hopefully it will come off without damage.</blockquote>
