I am looking at purchasing a used Bobcat 843B but I can't find the serial number plate to decode the serial number. I have done some google searches and it shows examples of details on the plate but not exactly where it is located. Any help would be great. Thanks.

It should be on the insideside of the frame near where the radiator is mounted.

If you can not find a serial number plate, then you might want to steer clear of it. If it is missing, it could have been removed to conceal its identity. Basically meaning, it could be a stolen machine. Steering clear of that machine is a really good move unless you know 100% who you are buying it from. It might suck to pass up on that opportunity, but protect yourself be NOT buying it. When / if you find a secondary location of the serial number, call a BOBCAT dealer ASAP. They have the ability to tell you if it has been reported stolen. Believe me, if it was stolen, whoever owned it would report it stolen to BOBCAT or at least to the local police. Has this person said that they have owned it for a good long time?? What is its back story??

GOOD POINT. yea its the world we live in some bottom feeder stealining a means of income that a man uses feed his family. in my book it gets no worse. rest assured there are many protocols in place for the recovery of heavy equipment bobcact co. itself i peronaslly belive is leadining the indrusty in theft protection and recovery. some of the steps shall not be spoken of on internet. once again ask youre local bobcat sales specailist. seirously guys these dudes aint sleazy car salesmen. boots jeans and beards. been extenisvley trained. in matchining cust needs and budjets. dont be scared you ll get the hard sell . the product sells itself its the matchup. where it comes into play. so any way you got questions they got answers. talk to them.
