I'm trying to figure out what perkins was put these I called bobcat and said it was a perkins 4.154 but that's all they could tell me and the machine shop says it was a Japanese 200 series by the casting number I just want to be able to verify before ordering the overhaul kit.

Hi and Welcome to the Forum.
Not sure if this helps at all:

I would refer to the serial number plate on the engine before ordering any parts for it.
Do you feel that the engine has been replaced at some point in time?
From what I have read, the 4.154 evolved into the Perkins 200 series, and could have been built in Japan.
Perkins is now owned by Caterpillar. It may be worth a visit to the Cat dealer with your engine number to identify exactly what you have.
Hope this helps - SR
