My 773G has the two levers for propulsion control. The right lever quit automatically returning to the neutral position from the reverse position when the lever is released. Therefore, I have to hold it in the neutral position to keep it from drifting into the reverse position. It returns to the neutral position okay when released from the forward position. I haven't opened it up yet to see if I can find the problem as I'm trying to keep up with fill dirt delivery. Is the lever return controlled by a spring, cam, valve, or what?

The same spring centers the lever from forward and reverse. Likely one of the pintle cams or wear plates is loose.

I assume that I will have to lift the cab to access it, or can it be accessed by removing the boot?
Yes, you will have to tilt the cab back.
Put some jackstands or blocks under the rear corners of the machine.
Remove the 2 nuts and plates inside the front corners of the cab.
Lift and tilt back from the front of the cab until it hits the stops.

Thanks for your help - I've tilted the cab back before to perform maintenance and repair but didn't want to do it if it wasn't necessary.
