773 with deluxe instrument panel looses all power when I push the start button. I hear a clicking noise when I push the start button and then all power is lost. No codes displayed. I have replaced starter relay. I have owned this machine for less than a year please help.

This is amazing. I have the exact same problem that I just encoutered this weekend. I have the S185, and same scenario as yours. In fact, I posted a question yesterday. I'm Bobcat Boy. I think it may be the starter or starter solenoid. Will be trying to check that today.

Thats the direction I was going. Not sure how to test either one. please let me know what you find out.

An easy test to see if the starter is ok would be to put a multi-meter between the starter body and the +ve cable on teh starter. Use a jumper wire between the +ve terminal on the starter and touch it to the small pin on the starter that should have a wire attached, This should make the engine start to crank. If it doesn't, hold the wire there and see what the multi meter reads. It should be around the 10V range. If it goes down to zero you have a problem in the battery of the cables.

I found the problem to my S185. It turned out to be the battery. I disconnected the cables to the battery, cleaned out the terminals and cables with a wire brush, and reinstall. The engine started right up. Good luck on your 773.
