I have a 2001 bobcat 773 with kubota diesel. The past few days it seems like it's flooded when I try to start. If I open throttle all the way it will start but run rough for 10-15 seconds then sooths out and runs fine. Any ideas?

Sounds like a fuel problem to me. The fuel could be gelling or you could be getting air in there somewhere.....
I was thinking injectors at first but after it starts it warms up a litle it works fine, so i'd look at the fuel system first.

Just a thought. I had a cardboard insert found in the tops of most plastic container caps fall into my fuel tank. It would slosh around inside for a while , then suck up tight against the pickup tube. It would shut that machine down. I had to remove the fuel feed hose at the lift pump, blow back thru, prime the system and it would start and run for a while. Almost drove me nuts. A friend had a rag stuffed into his machine's tank. same result.

I'm thinking could be 1 or 2 bad (open circuit) glow plugs that cause cylinders to misfire and smoke after a harder startup. A injector that is leaking will cause it to flood and smoke to but it will not go away vary quick as the engine will have to warm up a lot longer, if the injector is bad enough it will smoke all the time especially at a low idle.
What are the ambient temps where you are?
