Here is how I tackled this problem: With Tazza's help I determined the pick-up hose had fallen off the brass-90 coming out of the tank. After many brain racking hours I took a 2'-0" piece of #12 stranded electrical wire and made two tightly wound loops on both ends. One that just barely slip onto the brass-90 coming out of the tank and one slightly larger to slip onto my retractable tie-down strap. With one end of the strap hooked to my cab overhead and the other to the #12 electrical wire I cranked a couple of times and wallah it popped right out. Next I went to the hardware store and bought a 1/4 filter, went home and put it on a new 1/4 black hose with stainless steel hose clamps since I didn't want to do this again in a couple of years and attempted to reassemble. WRONG... the filter I bought off the shelve was literally 1/16" bigger than the hole in the tank and there was no way stainless steel clamps were fitting down the hole either. So I went to eBay, found the right filter and hose and waited a couple of days for delivery. I used I used black plastic zip ties to hold the tube tight, and found they were too big to fit in the hole, luckily I had some really little zip ties that with a little help from a screw driver popped through the hole. I did not use Tazza's suggestion to grind the rubber grommet a litle before attempting to reassemble and wished I had. once I had pushed the zip ties through there was no going back. The grommet is nearly seated and I will attempt to get it fully seated when the weather warms a little more. Tazza does mention that the pickup hose is not dependent on the grommet being air tight so I can move on and circle back later. After reconnecting I was not getting the fuel up to the hand primer bulb as quickly as I liked so I attached a larger hand pump for transferring fuel to the hand primer bulb and it quickly pulled fuel into the line. I reattached the hand primer bulb, opened the filter air bleeder valve and after a few good pumps the air was bled out and a quick turn of the key and my sweet 864 started right up. Now onto finding tips on how to replace a lift arm cylinder seal ha!! it never ends!!!

[QUOTE="864bobcat, post: 71702, member: 10198"] My 864 is running again, thank you to Tazza for your help for sure.
