Today my grapple started closing between loads. It started getting worse within an hour, the grapple will close in about three minutes under gravity. It also does not seem to hold pressure on the closed position. I'm trying to follow the hydraulic schematic, but need some help. I figure it is not a worn spool or it would not get worse quickly. I'm hoping it's debris in a relief valve or an internal o-ring leaking. It's got about 2,400 hours on it, with a Kubota diesel.

Roll the grapple fully open. Stop the engine. Release hidraulic pressure. Disconnect the hose which goes to the base end of the grapple cylinder and remove hose from quick coupler. Start the engine engage aux. hydraulics and push the button in the direction in which open grapple. Do not push button in the other direction - will run much oil. If there a leakage from open port - remove cylinder /cylinders for repair. If not leakage- its a aux valve problem.

Thanks for the quick reply, the cylinders are leaking, and the implement was under warranty. I just didn't think of the cylinders because the grapple is less than a year old.
