I have my late 90's 763 F series with BICS and BOSS computer system that I know many here dislike. I picked up another 763 today. Its a few years newer but exact year unknown so far but I will find out tomorrow for certain. It has grey plastic cab trim for the ignition and cab buttons and it gives it the appearance of the newer machines.
The newer machine has about 1500 hours on it. I have some work to do for it to be used but I'm ok with that as it cranks up and everything is there.
My question is which one of the machine is prone to give the least problems? Does the G series have common issues such as the BOSS system machines?
I noticed more controls on both handles of my G series machine then my F. Not sure what that is about?
Also, I'm told that my F series machine is the newer series F models and is referred to as the newer style. As some of you know I have been chasing a control valve problem. The control valves seem very similar. Does anyone know if they are the same? Also the coils or solenoids on the top are exact in shape and style but the polish and exact appearance is not the same.. I would like to swap them up to trouble shoot. Do you know if the solenoids and valves under them are the same?

The non BOSS system should be less prone to issues, but some BOSS machines will run till the day they die without any issues.
I think the couls would be the same. Pull them out and see if they are the same diameter and length.
