well.. the dealer for starters. if you have a good NAPA store nearby they should have a book with pics of about a hundred different muffler configurations.you might be able to find one that fits your application. make one. About 15 years ago i needed a muffler for my 843. I poured over that NAPA book for about 30-40 min. and couldn't find one to fit. The dealer wanted about 300 $ for it. I got to looking at it and thought, it's just a pipe pluged at both ends with baffles in it with and inlet on one end and an outlet at the other. I cut the original muffler open to see how they baffled it and saw that the baffles were still good ...so icut them out .i rummaged around the scrap pile and found some pipe the right size with 1/8 inch walls ...welded the baffles in, cut some plate and plugged the ends..cut holes in the right places and welded some tail pipe stock in place and ...viola ..muffler. i used the feet off the original muffler for mounting ...the home made muffler is actually a little quieter because the wall are thicker ..the flow through should be about the same because the pipe sizes are the same and i used the original baffles. 15 years later that muffler is still in one piece and working fine!! time spent 3 hrs ,so i made about 100$ an hour and thats why i bought all these tools in the first place!!!
