Hello, im a new member just to start off...I recently bought a 1998 model 763 skid loader and the other day i shut it off for a second and it wouldnt start back up, i checked the fuel shut off and it wasnt pulling the arm it, you could flip the key on and manually push it over and it would run fine. some guys at bobcat told me it was the timer so i replaced that timer and when i plugged it im still nothing, but when i shut the key off and then back on it blew the fuse. stuck another fuse in and same thing. anyone know whats wrong here? my guess is the fuel shut off solenoid. any help would be great. someone else things it might be in the key switch but im worried that its the shut off solenoid. thanks in advance. Trav

You are spot on with suspecting the solenoid is bad. There are 2 coils, pull and hold. The hold coil is working as you pull it back and it stays in position till you turn the key off. The pull coil sounds like its burnt out and shortng somewhere blowing your fuse.

i checked the fuel shut off and it wasnt pulling the arm it, you could flip the key on and manually push it over and it would run fine.... there is a main fuel line that feeds the shutoff... all the shutoff does is stop feeding fuel.... they are on the injector pump.... move the arm mechanically to off while it is running.... (unless its electronic) it may just need adjustment... if it is electronic, there is fuses.... if those keep blowing, then the solenoid in the shutoff crapped the bed.... replace it and you should be good... also, if it is electrical, if it blows a fuse, make sure you install the correct amp fuse.... also try bumping it up 5 amps... never go more than 5 amps, as you risk an electrical fire....if you bump it up 5 amps and it still blows, then you know for a fact its electrical...
