Hello All,

New to the forum and newish to skid loaders, I have a 1995 Bobcat 753 that shuts down while idling or operating, it doesn't choke out, it just dies all togehter like I turned the key off. I recently replaced the fuel lines all the way from the spout to the fuel pump as well as the filter so I am pretty sure that isn't it. Using it last night, I watched the indicatior lights behind me and even when it was shutting down, I didn't notice any of them blinking off. Any suggestions as to where the gremlin might be?

Edit: I should also say that it fires right back up after it shuts itself down.

First thing I would check is all of the electrical connections.

Clean and tighten the battery and all ground connections.
Check all of the wire harnesses for shorts and rub throughs or rodent damage.
Check the fuse connectors for corrosion and loose connections.

Ok, I'll dig into those next

check and see what voltage your getting off alternator while running, , and also inspect pulley's on all things connected to fan belt

and second the possibility of corrosion, on electrical connections, make sure there all clean and corrosion free,, and don't forget corrosion can travel UNDER the wires insulation, so if you find any corrosion, make sure you look really good down stream of it!

you can also inspect the key switch, hey do wear out and are rather cheap, so if sloppy/loose key or, connections in it, , might be worth replacing!

Hi All,

Thanks for all the replies and time you spent here. Sorry it took me so long to get back to you, it turns out I was low on coolant fluid and it was not registering the code on my display. I topped it off and ran it for about an hour and a half with no shut offs. Thanks again everyone.

I use this one on two of my diesels. It replaces the bulb in my 743
