I am changing the whole hydrostatic pump assembly. What is the best way to remove the assembly. Do I need to unbolt the mounts and pull the pump and engine together out the back. Or is it easier to just pull just the hydrostatic pump assembly out the front. I have never worked on a bobcat before, so any information will be helpful. Thanks, Russell

Never done one yet, but pull them together. Its not too bad of a job I'm told.
2 to 3 hours.

Pull the engine and pump together. Lift and slide the whole thing out. You need to remove the pulley on the pump, you can't gain access without pulling the whole unit out to put a puller on it.
Its not as big of a job as you may think, just messy with the oil as it leaks out a little. Get a helper though, as when you put it back in, it helps to have someone to push it forward to line up with the mounts.
