Hi, new member here, hoping you can help me out as I have read through a handful of posts, but was hoping to avoid having to dig through hundreds. Bear with me, I am not the most mechanically inclined..... I have a bobcat 753, mid 90's I believe (94/95?). this fall, I have been having intermittant no start issues, would crank fine but no try to start and no smoke. I have a friend help me check it out, and the fuel shutoff solenoid is not pulling, but will hold if manually worked with the key on. on the red and white wires on the harness side plug, I have approx 6v and 12v (dont remember which on which color), immediately after the key is turned on. ever since messing with it, it has started fine about a dozen times, so dont know if the plug was just loose, or there is something going out, but if it acts up again, do I need to be looking for the shutoff solenoid, or the relay, or is there more testing I can do to determine which is the culpret (and where is the relay located if I need to look at that)? thanks for any help and advice

The fact that it started working again strongly indicates that it was just a loose or corroded connection, burnt out pull coils don't miraculously cure themselves with a bit of fussing.
If it acts up again, start with the solenoid wiring/connectors and work backwards. There are both 753 service and parts books in the manual thread, they're worth having as it makes troubleshooting far easier.
