First of all thanks very much for the help on the lock out situation. It was the seat bar plug that had a misalligned socket that ended up being the culprit. Today it is pretty cold out winter is on it's way. It's -6 out right now. This is the first time I have run the heater in the machine and I find that it does get a bit warmer with it on however the fan does not seem to push the heat out very much. I can hear the fan increase as I go from position 1 to 3 but I cannot feel any difference at the vent. Any ideas? I would imagine that this will become an important issue when it gets down to -20 in Jan!

There is an intake filter, either on the rear deck behind your head or outside the cab below the rear window(maybe both) the filter may be plugged? Maybe there is debris in the heater ducts? If the fan motor has ever been replaced possibly it was not installed correctly, either spinning backwards or the squirrel cages on backwards.
